The most important goal of the course of the discipline "Professional Foreign Language" is to increase the initial level of English proficiency. In addition, the goal of the course includes such an aspect as mastering by students the necessary level of communicative and cognitive competencies to overcome social and communicative difficulties in the household, educational, cognitive, socio-cultural and professional fields of activity.

The use of the English language in medicine is very extensive: doctors communicate with each other at international conferences, a doctor can come across a foreign patient, many devices and apparatuses of foreign origin (with an English description) and, of course, English allows you to read professional literature, research and world scientific news.
